A question about : HELP!!! All contacts lost!!

Hi All

PLease could anyone help?!!

OH is having a meltdown!

Earlier today his phone went dead & wouldn't switch back on. He removed the battery, then put it back in, & it switched on.
After he's gone to work, he's realised all his contacts have vanished, and his call log is just showing numbers, no contact names.
Unfortunately he has a lot of work contacts stored.

Is there any way to retrieve these?

Any help gratefully received!

  And if it was a smartphone he did have all the contacts synched with the online account and he has already checked the account???
• No backup at all?
  Were the numbers stored on the SIM or the phone? If the former, swap the SIM to another handset and recheck. I wouldn't hold out much hope, but nothing to lose.
  If you do recover them, then make a backup- hundreds of phones go AWOL every day.
• some phones you have to sync the contacts to get them to display, but then when.if you get them back save to dim and then purchase a sim card backup device like this https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIM-CARD-B...-/311295465556 so you always have a backup of your contacts
