A question about : halifax mortgage

Hi guys. Ive recently seen advertisements for people to make a claim against any mis sold PPI relating to their Halifax mortgage.

I have a current Halifax mortgage and Im unsure as to what to do to enquire about this. Im afraid to go to any of these companys that advertise or indeed those that ring your home every evening.

Can any one make any suggestions on how to move forward on this?

THanks

worried but curious

Best answers:

  • You can put in a complaint about the PPI element of your mortgage protection from Halifax you just need proper complaint reasons (such as having cover elsewhere or if it would not cover you) and then fill in either the FOS form or a Halifax complaint form (probably one on their website).
They do apparently roll-over quite easily on the PPI element of the cover, not on the other elements (e.g. critical illness)
