A question about : GMTV Cashback

GMTV are offering cashback similar to Quidco and others..

ONLY just 'discovered' it so do have a look for yourselves for more information or clarification on anything..

Af far as I've found so far -

Freebie offers (no spend required):

£2.50 to join
Refer a friend - £2
'Refer two friends - £14'
Ink Club - £4.50 for placing first order. First order is free! (either ink cartridge/set of photo paper)
T-mobile sim card giveaway - £0.25
Envirofone (requires you to recycle an old phone) - £0.74 - £1.80
Free o2 sim card - £0.07
CCI Consumer Panel (free sign up) - £0.45 on registration
Lovefilm (free trial) - £8.00
Sheriff Ratings - £0.30
emusic (2 week free trial) - £2.00

There's absolutely loads more, best thing is there's a 'freebies' section which lists all the free cashback sources.

Plus: earn money from applying for freebies, doing surveys etc.

PlusPlus: Go to the 'coupons' section in the left navigation where they say they will offer coupon codes if made available.

Payments go out when your account has £25 or more cashback on it (which should be quite easy to achieve considering the refer a friend amount!). Date of payment displayed on homepage.

P.S.. Not sure how the refer a friend thing works - if you go the the 'How do I use this site to it's full potential' section from the homepage it states £14 for refering two friends, but everywhere else it says £2 per friend... so fingers crossed! Even if it's £2 per friend, it's still brilliant! (You only receive the £2 when they're account is £15 in cashback).

I know this is a cheeky one - but if anyone doesn't mind me 'refering them' to get my additional few pennies - please do pm me your email address before signing up and go through my referal link, or visit my referal link directly from here to sign up:
https://www.gmtvcashback.com/r/?l=912076 ...it would be well appreciated!

If not, work together and let your friends refer you to give them that little bit extra.

I hope I didn't repeat myself or anyone else's posts, did do a search, found nothing. I will add the 'best' free-money ones as they come about, please post some of your own too..

Their main link (not through my £2 referal): https://www.gmtvcashback.com/

Goodluck with earning! xx

  • The web site looks exactly like Greasypalm, it even has the same front to it and similar membership etc doman name address
Go and use Quidco or TCB better payers than GP or GMTV (I am surprised they will be allowed to use GMTV as one could argue that it is associated with GMTV)
    Same contact details too

  • Thanks cant imagine them lasting long it looks like they are associated with GMTV
  • maybe Martin could do an article on his GMTV slot about the best cashback sites !!
it won't be this one .............. lol
  • I think Quidco and TCB are the best. Many of the others are poor and as for daily clicks they are sinking faster than the Titanic so best use one with maximum cashback on goods/servcies
  • I know, it aint the best of all cashback sites, I've been using Quidco and absolutely loved it.. I realised though that these pay out a lot less..
Lovefilm via GMTV = Ј8 cashback
Lovefilm via Quidco - Ј15.50ish (the last time I checked)
Rather than promoting the GMTV one looks like I can find much more flaws in it now after looking into it in detail, also it seems they pay out a lot less than the others.. agreed?
  • and I would not install "rebate catcher" on my PC.......why would I want a bit of software thats watches what I am doing on the internet ??

  • MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin's asked me to post this in these circumstances: I've asked Board Guides to move threads if they'll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com
  • another poorly paying cashback site, personally i would stick to the 100% sites like Quidco,Topcashback, Cashbackkings.
  • lol, more the fact that they are selling the information, same reason I object to Phorm
  • GMTV may be back to diddling there viewers.
Since the GMTV phone scam I am entering the morning competitions online only it's Free.
For the record I never got a penny back I was told that they don't refund "3" numbers?
Early March 09 I subscribed to GMTV cashback and my account was credited Ј2.50 not bad for 90 seconds. I them received an email from GMTV promoting lottobytext with 4 free draws each for Wed & Sat. I cancelled after free trial BUT still received lotto results, costing me Ј9.70, I continued to cancel and also contacted GMTV who could not assist, I phoned a premium number and details were taken, finally I received a reply to my txt and Ј5.00 cheque but I am still Ј4.70 down. I requested the difference from GMTV, even requested my Ј2.50 and call it quits BUT GMTV continue to say "We are looking into this issue, but any complaints would be dealt with by the retailer in question not us." & "We are looking into our relationship with this retailer, but any problem you have is with them and we can not help you with this." & "Once again apologies for any inconvenience caused and especially for your upsetting experience with lottobytext. Do you wish for your account to be closed?"
ALSO over the weekend I received a further email from GMTV promoting Swoopo which is a bidding site, Swoopo has negative ratings from old customers and is labelled as a possible scam site - GMTV's reply "We cannot tell how Swoopo works internally but like us they will be monitored for any foul play and until we are made aware with evidence that this is happening we will continue to promote them as normal."
WHY are GMTV promoting these sites on there website and emailing there viewers to take part?
    Wonder what Martin would say?
    Looking forward to your feedback.
  • Well thanks to all the responses.
I didn't know much about cashback sites until i got an email from GMTV. But I thought it was ok seeing as they are on the TV everyday. Assumed that they were looking after us. Obviously not. I have entered the Eurolottery on my mob. It said to text yes to a number and when I did, it cost me 10p. Then I got another text saying I had to text Yes again to activate the numbers. I was not very happy with this. I think I will text STOP now even before the draw.
I didn't think GMTV would allow firms to do this to us. Surely they should check the sites first to protect us.
