A question about : Free Money, Ј2 for Ј1

A friend emailed me this ebay listing yesterday, spend Ј1, leave positive feedback and get Ј2 refunded back into your paypal account.

The guy is on some incentive to ups his ebay ratings, only one per paypal account tho.

I tried it, got Ј2 back into my account this morning

Think its limited to 250 so I would get in quick

• Do you need to leave feedback first, or do you wait for the refund and then leave feedback? If you leave your feedback then you are not protected anymore are you?

• As i read it hes got to sell the 250 and get the positive feedback and will then refund the Ј2 to the buyers. With his feedback im guessing its genuine
• e-decks need all the positive feedback they can get but it still wont outweigh all the negatives. They may get all good feedback for this stunt but wait until people start leaving feedback for their actual products.

• I had put the answer in post 5, yes pos feedback must be left by all 250 people who have "bought" the Ј2, before he refunds the money. HTH
• So until 250 people give him Ј1 each then nobody will get any refund.
  The whole thing stinks to me.
  It'll cost him 10p for every sale, plus Ј250 (as your original Ј1 will be refunded). Some might think that is worth the "Ј1000" holiday, I however do not.

• Was suspicious as well, but thught it was no worse than buying a scratch card. Paid my quid yesterday evening, DIDN'T leave any feedback and the Ј2 was paid into my Paypal account this mirning. I then left the postitive feedback.
  Again,s till not sure about eBay rules about this - not got time to look but what set my mind at rest was when I did the simple sums. Recieve Ј250, pay out Ј500 - net cost to seller Ј250 (plus a bit for Paypal fees). According to his story, if he gets the required feedback in time, he gets a family trip to Centerparcs for free - real cost to him being the Ј250 he "lost" on eBay. No way you get a family trip to Centerparcs for Ј250!
