First time credit card??

A question about : First time credit card??

Hello, I've never had a credit card before and was looking for any help please? The only reason why I am getting a credit card is because I am hiring a car abroard and they need to keep a credit card on file 'just in case'. So I don't want to use the card and want to get rid as soon as I come back.

Can anyone help by advising which card would be best for me please as I have no idea?

Any help would be great!
