A question about : First Choice delays to the Maldives.

I am looking for advice on how to calim compensation for a flight delay of 6+ hrs to the Maldives on Sunday 19th April 2009.
This issue I have is that I cannot find the flight number. I have contacted First Choice who have informed me via email the following:
Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
I can see that you have requested details from your holiday back in 2009; unfortunately we do not have this kind of information on our system anymore and would be unable to get these for you as they refresh after six months.
I can appreciate this is dissapointing for you and I would like to thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding this matter and do hope that despite your concerns on this occasion we will have the opportunity to renew your custom in the near future.

Yours sincerely,

We were delayed at Gatwick some 6+ hours, flight was due to depart 10:00 in the morning, left in the evening.
The delay was due to a breakdown of an aircraft and we had to wait for a plane to arrive from Goa before we could depart.

Thanks in anticipation.

  • OP Note you must start court action before 6 years so you need to get a move on or you will be out of time.
  • worth reading the guide in the sticky too (marked 'read this before posting') you will find you can request a SAR from the operating airline whoever that was (I assume Thomson as First Choice Airways was rebranded in 2008) so, if so, it is the Thomson thread you need to have a read of too
have a search on the Thomson thread for "Maldives" a few posts on there
