  • I have Windows XP Home Edition and this has the 'Works' spreadsheet. Can anyone help out as to whether I can get access to the MSE Spreadsheet?
I actually do have my own budget spreadsheet in Works, but I'm a novice and it's not very sophisticated, and I would love to upgrade to this Excel one.
I visited the site that someone suggested, but this seemed to inidicate that the Excel software would only let you 'view' existing spreadsheets and not necessarily work on them. Or did I get that completely wrong?
  • The spreadsheets make use of the "Macro" feature of MS Excel for navigational purposes, similar to a website where you are able to move from page to page by clicking on links/buttons.
IF the viewer DOESNT support this then in my opinion would not be suitable for this spreadsheet. Wagon & Quackers do say it works, so I guess you could try. It does say that it's not recommended for use on computers with Excel installed.
[hr]It seems as if the two most popular alternatives so far are "Webpage" and or MS Works. If Martin is happy I will certainly look into creating a web based solution. Some people disable "Java" from the browsers, so this again could cause some problems with compatability.
  • I would love a web page solution Tony!
  • I will look into that for you Martin, it will require time though purely due to the amount of coding involved. I will speak with Webby about the constraints involved to insure it fit's nicely into the site. ;D
