A question about : To ebay shop or not?
Hi everyone,
I am in the process of obtaining some stock to sell. My question is as i am starting up should i look to open up a shop or not with fees etc? The range of goods i will be selling will range in price from Ј1.99 up to Ј60.00. They are generic pet goods so the market will be competitive.... I guess i would be looking to list around 20-30 items a month initially.... and see how it goes from there i have only ever used ebay to sell my generic junk so not really sure as to fees etc. Im just reading up on the fees now.
What would you lovely experienced people recommend?
Best answers:
- A shop allows you to place Good Till Cancelled listings, which are great if you sell many of the same items.
No relisting each time your 30 days is up, just eases the 'back office' burden keeping track of listings.
I've tried with and without and not found too much difference in sales, although I guess it depends on your levels of competition.
Fees soon add up, and Ј20 a month isn't a great deal once you start thinking real levels of income.
Test the market, if it works, I say get a shop front.
