A question about : Eastleigh to Berwick on Tweed

Hi my friend needs to go to Berwick on Tweed next Monday by train. Any ideas on how she can do it cheaply. Thank you for your help.

• If a coach would be acceptable instead, Megabus from Southampton Airport to Newcastle for Ј30, then train from there, advance single Ј9.50.
  Unfortunately it's 9 and a half hours on the coach, and starts at 0625.
  Or another idea - could someone pick her up at Newcastle or Edinburgh Airport, each about 60 miles away? Fly there from Southampton for Ј58 or Ј72, landing at 2200 or 2130 respectively.
  Or if tempted to splash out flights are from about Ј90 to either Edinburgh or Newcastle earlier in the day, then there are still buses and trains about, advance single Ј5 to Ј10
• She has no rail card. What company flies from Southampton. Thank you for your help. x

  More than one flight a day to either, but the cheapest ones are in the evening and would be too late for onward bus or train, so that's why I wondered about possibilties of a 60 mile lift as well
  Unfortunately the advance rail fares seem to get a bit cheaper only if you can book a bit further ahead
