Please can I ask for advice, I have been quoted for adurabase conservatory, including installation. Spec includes: Frosted active glass, Ultraframe roofingsystem – style: Edwardian double hipped. Quote includes lighting, electricalsockets and the wiring of a heater (heater to be supplied by us.) Dimensionsare: ridge height 3.6m / gutter height2.1m / overall depth 3m / overall width 5.6m – internal dwarf wall area 11.4 sq.m and external dwarf wall are 12.6 sq. m. Price includes brick steps into thegarden. Price including vat Ј17K – Is this a reasonable price for a durabasebuild of this size?

• It would depend on where you live, the access, and on if you have received three quotes (you have done this, I assume?)
  I recently got a quote from the most expensive local conservatory company for a 4600x2600 size with Victorian pitched roof in polycarbonate. I am not a fan of the anything other than traditional foundations, so it had this, plus an insulated concrete floor, plastering, basic electrics and no path. This was Ј12000-Ј12800. I do not recall the exact figure for the order was then shopped around to get a saving of a few thousands plus a glass roof.
  This suggests that your quote could be shaved down.
