A question about : Due to travel 31st May
Hello all
Just some info really, we are due to go Portugal next Tuesday, flights and apartment booked separately. I have been told that if our flight is cancelled we wouldn't be able to claim for the hotel as we never booked it as a package, is that right?!?
Flights booked with onthebeach.co.uk (easyjet)
Hotel booked with freshholidays.com
Thanks in advance if you can help.
Best answers:
- Depends on your insurance, but on the face of it you probably have no claim for the hotel
- Does your travel insurance state that you can claim for not being able to use one component of your holiday due to the failure of another?
If it does you should be able to claim for the hotel. - AS above best to check your insurance. There is no such thing as a standard policy anymore, some cover some things that others exclude so it is difficult to offer any advice as we don't know what you are insured for.
- Thanks all will have a look now i have a bot more of an idea what I am looking for. Useless at this type of thing as never claimed.
Thanks
