A question about : DSGi Clearance Electricals Store

There is an Electrical Clearance store in Chester in the Greyhound Retail Park, which is run by DSGi aka Dixons Group, Currys, PC World, Pixmania etc... They basically sell graded items found in their main brands, that are no longer suitable for sale as new (end-of-line stock, damaged boxes, ex-display, cosmetic damage etc). There is allsorts from TV's to Fridge Freezers, from laptops to digital camera's.

I was at Comet just opposite it earlier today to buy something, and popped across to have a look, and there are signs stating the store is closing for business on the 4th February. So they are greatly reducing the prices of a lot of the goods in there - which are already significantly discounted from the prices instore anyway - to clear all the remaining stock.

There is tonnes of RAM for instance, brand new (end-of-line or had packaging changed from the looks of things) from as little as 99p reduced from say Ј17.99!! They are basically just gradually lowering prices of stock, as they get nearer to the closing date to get rid of it. The lad who I spoke to said business was actually quite good, but they had a surplus of stock they needed rid of, so they opened a few stores throughout the UK, and essentially their graded stock levels are lowering to the point whereby they need to reduce the number of stores (else they could end up looking bare/having no revenue).

So it could be a good time for anyone local to grab a bargain!!

Speaking of bargains, I managed to haggle with the salesperson in Comet, got a Logitech K400 Touchpad keyboard for Ј24 when it was Ј34.99 instore and online, all I did was mention it was cheaper online haha!! I think the cheapest I found them after delivery was around the Ј30 mark lol. Happy days title=Smile
