A question about : DLA over 65
what will happen regarding my dla payments. I recieve the highest rate for mobility and the middle rate for care. I will be 65 next January 2016. I am so worried. Can anyone help please?

- You will continue to get DLA as is. Leave well alone. I live in one of the areas that was meant to be changed over this year, but when I tried to go 4 change to my care, I was told my postcode would not be assessed for PIP until 2017 at the earliest. So my change was done under DLA & is now indefinite. So I doubt you need worry, but you could ring DLA number 03457123456 select opt 1 & ask when your postcode will be assessed for PIP.
- Thank you so much.
- No, they won't - there has been no official decisions on anything like that, in fact most reputable disability charities think that it won't be rolled out to everyone, anytime soon, but as it goes to certain areas, planned reviews will be transferred first, followed by low rates, followed by starting on the 'indefinites', which is likely to be some time away, and age won't be a factor.
The backlogs are large at the moment, so nothing is going to happen as per the original timeframes.
However, it remains to be seen who wins the next election, and what is decided after May.
