A question about : Hearing impaired guy

I've made a financial decision a year ago that uses most of my DLA money. I can't get out of this decision until end of 2015/beginning of 2016 latest. Well, if I really had to, I could get out of this decision soonish but then I'd take a huge hit to my finances.

I've looked the PIP checklist, it seems that I'm eligible for PIP at lower level for my disability. I don't speak nor hear, and I can't communicate with anybody except through BSL or text.

A question about : ESA and serps credits.

Does anyone know the rules regarding ESA and SERPS credits? I have been trying to sort out my pension since May and am getting nowhere with the Pension Service. I had to give up work and retire 2 1/2 years early due to ill health. I was on ESA I only received contribution based ESA payment for 12 months because my wife works part time. However they said although my payments stopped after 1 year I would still receive credits for my pension etc.

A question about : Stannah stairlift

I am a full time carer for my elderly parents.

They are 80, and one has Disability Allowance and one Attendance Allowance.

How can I get a Stannah Stairlift , As they are both having trouble with the stairs?

A question about : New DLA award today

Today my son was reawarded DLA.. not PIP as it is not yet in our area (Oxfordshire) although he is over 16. His award is 'indefinite'

Potentially his mobility component could be used for a car (me to drive him.. he hasn't the ability), however I am concerned that if he then gets called for the switch to PIP within say the next 12 months, he might lose the entitlement as he qualifies under DLA assessment rules but might not under PIP going by reports!

A question about : Pip Form extentsion

Hi,

I was awarded Pip in November 2013 with the end date of January 2016.

On the 2nd of February i received the form to fill in again which seems a bit soon and it had to be returned by 28th. I phoned my CPN and arranged to come and see her that week and she would help me fill it in. Unfortunately my appointment for that week was cancelled and since then she has been off sick. They hoped she would be back today but when I spoke to the office today they said maybe she would be back Wednesday but not 100% sure.

Hi, my mum is my dads carer. He has a very bad heart condition and other health issues. Is it true they can get a 25 per cent reduction on their council tax? If so, can any of this be back dated, as she has been his carer since 2008 and we only read an article on this today. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks
