A question about : Did you do it on your wedding night?
Having been to a few weddings recently it occurred to me that by the end of a very long, stressful, emotional day, the bride and groom (also having had a few drinks) are probably more likely to go straight to sleep than have their first night of passion as a married couple. I'm not married myself, but I think if we did get married, I would feel as though we 'should' have sex because it's our wedding night, rather than really wanting to. Won't know till I'm there I suppose. But I imagine I'd feel a bit disappointed if we didn't. Did you? Would you? Is it important?
Best answers:
- We were too tired that night, it had been a really long day!
We did it the next morning and enjoyed it much more than we would have done if we had forced ourselves to do it the night before. - Yeah - troll post removed!
- We got married abroad so after ceremony went back and got changed, consumated the marriage and then went for a swim. Had reception, I got bit bladdered, went back to room and seemingly we did it again - not that I remember much though - oops!!!
- First marriage ...... he passed out
Second marriage ...... sleep whats that? - we did......but having said that we legged it from the reception at about 8.30 before we were too !!!!ed and ordered champagne on room service
- Early night and no. Second night was an early night, interrupted by the maids coming to turn down the beds! Laughed at us every time they saw us for a week
- You've got best part of 40 more years to do it - so what's the rush? What a lifeless question......
- I hardly know anyone who managed to consumate their marriage on their wedding night. I was 8 weeks pregnant, spent the night being sick and was taken to hospital 2 days later with hyperemesis.
So much for a honeymoon!
Was still the best day of my life up to that point though! I had a wonderful day. - No we didn't. By the time I'd drunk myself sober, got rid of family and friends and transvestite maids, it was 6am and it was the last thing on our minds.
