A question about : Credit File and CIFAS Category 4
Just got a copy of my credit file and gone through it. I know from a SAR to CIFAS a couple of years ago that there was a Category 4 marker against me. I don't see this in my credit file at all - the CIFAS section though tends to talk about protective registrations ie general wording - and my overall credit score is good.
If still current would a Category 4 appear in the credit file I get ie is the 'consumer' version of the file different to one that a lender would get, or (of current interest to me especially) a potential employer doing background checks ?
Best answers:
- Why not SAR CIFAS again?

I've just got my credit file though and that's (presumably) what lenders and employers doing background checks will see, among other things
