A question about : Couple of SA questions for a new guy
Sorry for the potentially dumb questions but I'm filling in my first ever SA, albeit a few weeks late
I made Ј600ish profit from the sale of some shares in the 13/14 tax year, do I have to declare this (and where please)? I'm thinking it's below the capital gains threshold but want to double check.
Secondly, and I need to check my banks statements, but if my parents gifted my wife and I some money over the year (probably around Ј2-3k, does this have to be declared too? If so any ideas where please?
Thanks and sorry if they're stupid questions. I just want to get this right.
Best answers:
- Oh, just one more question. Just submitted the return, do I have to wait for the 72 hours for it to be processed (online form) before I pay what I owe or can I pay now?
- If you've got an email receipt of the SA return then you can pay now.
