Does anyone know of a conservatory manufacturer that includes solar panels in their design?

  • Quite interesting but not quite what I was looking for, thanks anyway.
  • Peat were you thinking more of photovoltaic cells, than solar heating panels?
  • Scattycat,
It was solar panels I was thinking of not photovoltaic cells.
  • Evacuated tube solar panels - at least the ones without the reflectors - would be good for this as they allow some light through.
  • Hello peat
You thinking of solar thermal panels to heat the water?
There are two types flat panels, no good in a conservatory as this would block out you light, also would need a strong frame.
Evacuated tube require a shield, which is parabal to reflect heat.
A way round this is dependant on the size of you conservatory. If you conservatory is completely facing south then maybe inside you could set aside an area in which a black painted radiator could connected to you hot water system. It would require some innovation.
