A question about : Command and Conquer Strategy Game

Hi All,

Does anyone remember a C&C strategy game for the PC that was set during World War 2 (The D-Day landing I think), and the user could be Allies or Germans? What was the name of this game and can it be downloaded for free?

Thanks.

Best answers:

  • it was Command and Conquer Red Alert (the first one)
Theres also Red Alert 2, which followed on from it but used more futuristic tech, like prism tanks/towers.
Red Alert 3 is the newest and adds the Japanese (this is often on sale on steam)
  • Red Alert is an alternate history, WWII was between Soviet and Allied forces. Germany was part of the allied force. And you can play as them in Red Alert 2 which had Einstein inventing new tech
  • dont think thats a command and conquer game. Was it an RTS ?
it could be company of heroes
Medal of Honour: AA also has the D-Day landings too, but that was a FPS
  • This thread makes me want to crack out my C&C Collectors Boxset again to relive some memories!
  • Company of Heroes was WW2 as far as I remember, but I think it's a little harsh on specs so I'd check with https://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri prior to purchase.
  • Command and Conquer Ultimate Edition, consisting of 17 games/add-ons is available on amazon for Ј10.
I have it and it is amazing:

  • It is a download code so you might be able to get it elsewhere.

  • I'm sure this game was called something like Eastern Front, the key point was that unusually for such a game you could oversee the Nazis as well as the Allies.
  • You wouldnt be thinking of blitzkrieg by anychance
  • axis and allies is a good ww2 game. You can'#t play as germans as far as I can rememebr
  • Could also be one of the Hearts of Iron games from Paradox although they don't have 3D graphics, it's more of a strategy game.
  • I think you may be thinking of Company of Heroes?

  • As cookie666 says, I think it's Company of Heroes.
