A question about : Claiming bank charges back
I am confused as I had my bank account first set up in 1990. I had no idea of what the accounts was or what I was doing I was only 16 I just went in with I.D & they did it all.
Years later I called the bank as I'd notice few payments on my account which I couldn't remember what they were. One was a phone insurance which I never agreed to with Phones 4U & the other was my account charge when I asked why I was being charged to have an account they said that's just what your account was. I had been paying years for an account which I had no idea I was. I had travel insurance on it, car breakdown phone insurance all which I had paid for with other companies as I never knew. Then in 2012 I called the bank as my car had broken down & used the breakdown I'd been paying for, for approx 15yrs+ & I then changed my account to something I'd use. Could I still claim for the years I was paying for this but had no idea of it?? I don't have bank statements which makes me think I can't??
