- Some years ago my husband had to be in London on call for work over Christmas and the family stayed at the Hendon Hall Hotel (in North London). We had a great time and the food was superb. However I haven't been there recently
They do a Christmas lunch - though it's not cheap!) and I see the hotel has good reviews on Tripadvisor.

But really, what is your budget ? More to the point, you need to be booking pretty soon. Most places ( London or otherwise ) are booked up months in advance for Christmas day. I'd hazard a guess that you'd be lucky to get booked in anywhere half decent now. - Landmark Hotel in Marylebone?
- I regularly used to visit London over Christmas and have tried a few places on Christmas Day. The best was Strada ( an Italian chain). We had the works - wonderful 3 course meal for Ј45 each. The everyday menu was also served to other walk in customers to Ј12-Ј17 for a main course. There is a strada in Marylebone which is within walking distance from Paddington.
Failing that head over to Edgeware Rd with has loads of restaurants and cafes open on a Christmas Day with very reasonable prices. - There's a long list of Christmas Day lunch venues here.
Some are incredibly expensive but there are some at a more reasonable price if you look right through.
