A question about : Cheap Lurpack Butter

I was in Asda in Poole yesterday, and, as usual, a 500g pack of Lurpack Butter was Ј3.25, or on special offer of two for Ј5.

However, immediately above these were 1Kg packs of the same thing for Ј3 each! I bought two.

So take your choice - Ј3.25 for 500g or Ј3 for 1Kg.

Talk about crazy pricing! But get it whilst you can.title=Smile

Best answers:

  • I always wait until Sainsburys (my supermarket of choice because it's just up the road!) has Lurpak on special offer for two for Ј5. This offer comes around frequently enough to keep me going.
  • I prefer English butter.
  • I dare not buy butter, I would pig out on it so it's best if I don't have any in the house.

  • Look for the packs labelled 'Lurpack' - they're the cheap knock-offs with the spelling mistakes .
  • Aldi Norpak spreadable is just as good as Lurpak. My boys will only eat Lurpak so I pop some Norpak into a posh butter dish when they come and they cannot tell the difference
  • Lurpak is the best.
  • Well that's a good offer, but...why is this on the over 50's money saving board? Us young folk enjoy expensive branded butter too you know!
  • our morrisons is doing 2 for Ј4,,dont know if uk wide ,or just scotland,,or just out area
  • I only buy goat's butter these days, it tastes so much richer than all the standard cow's butters on sale. It's the same with milk.
