A question about : Capital One

I recently read an article on here about credit cards for people wioth bad credit, and based on the assesment tool, I made an application for the Capital One credit card. At the end of the application, I was shown a message stating that I had been accepted, but I havent received a confirmation email or any sort of correspondence since that day.

Has anyone else had the same experience?
Any advice?

Thank you

  • When was it? I'm sure I recieved my first letter pretty quickly, a week later maybe? If you ring them, they will find your details on their system.
  • I recieved an email from them asking for me to sign up to their online services before I recieved anything through the post, come to think of it I didn't receive a welcome letter, just the PIN first then the card. Took a week to receive the email them a further week for card and PIN.
  • How long did you have to wait for the email from being told you were accepted?
  • Yes I do have that revolutionary device known as a phone so I might phone them when I have more time.
    Thank you for your replies.
  • The first actual notification I had been accepted was receiving my card in the post a week or so later.
I didn't receive an email stating my application had been accepted.
    Good luck.
  • I recieved an email asking me to sign up to manage the account online before i got my card and pin.
  • I received a welcome email tonight telling me that I will get my online login details etc soon etc etc. this was 48 hours after applying online. Hope this helps others wondering what the timescales are. When you are trying to rebuild your finances and are used to getting rejected the waiting period can be daunting!
