A question about : Cancelling a gym membership
Hello all,
Hope you can help me......i used to go to a gym (lets call it gym a) in my home town quite a few years ago. I then used a different gym (gym b) for a few year and now I am a student i went back to gym a as it is much cheaper than gym b. I gave my bank details to set up a payment for 6 months but havent signed a contract.
The gym is filthy, there is no air conditioning in the studio for classes and I am not too keen on it. Am i legally obliged to stay given that I havent signed anything or is the fact that i gave my bank details enough to keep me in the contract?
Thanks in advance.

- What was agreed at the time that you joined and gave them your bank details? There is no need for most contracts to be in writing and signed for them to be enforceable, so if you agreed to join and pay for a minimum term of 6 months they may be able to hold you to that.
