A question about : can he claim back credit card ppi?
My son has had his lloyds tsb credit card for 12 months & wasn't aware he had been paying payment protection insurance from the beginning until recently, when through no fault of his own, he found himself temporarily unemployed. He struggled to pay his credit card bill for 3 months with no income whatsover. He rang the bank on several occasions to explain his predicament but even then he wasn't informed that he was paying into a ppi. He then showed me his latest statement, which because of interest, late payment & ppi charges is now over the limit. Looking at it I realised he had actually been paying into the ppi all along. He telephoned the bank & it has taken 3 weeks for the claim form to arrive. He has ,thankfully, now found emplyment & it is too late to make the claim.
Will he be able to claim back the ppi payments he has made,as he was never made aware of the policy in the first place & can he also reclaim all the late payment etc charges that have made his account in the red?
