A question about : Can a case be opened after a full refund?
As per the heading, if I refund a buyer in full can they subsequently open a case against me?
I had a buyer contact me to tell me I had sent them the wrong item, their message was very irate, I took what they said at face value and gave them a full refund, I offered as a good will gesture to send the item anyway, it was a low priced item so I wasn't too bothered, I just wanted to keep them happy, looking back at their feedback now and reading between the lines I get the impression this is not the first time they have claimed this and they have left a lot of negatives and neutrals.
I am just a bit worried that no matter what I do I am going to get a case opened against me.
Best answers:
- No a case cannot be opened if you refunded via the original transaction.
- The above is incorrect. An ebay case can be opened after a full refund, I know because I've had two of them opened after a full refund of the original transactions. And yes, it's possible to get TWO refunds as well (happened to me).
