A question about : Business banking for those with poor credit
Hi Guys, long story but cut short, I have a bad credit rating so can't open a business bank account. i don't want any credit facilities, no cheque book or card - just a deposit and withdrawal facility to pay cheques into really.
Phoned the major banks and can't get any help. This seems crazy as i am making money from online business and money going into paypal but i don't want it going into personal bank account.
Any ideas. Turnover for year from self emp expected to be iro Ј20,000

- It sounds as if you only require a basic bank account then, as long as it's a separate one from your normal account.
You should be able to get a basic bank account from almost any bank, it will allow you to put money in and draw money out and even set up direct debits, this is the only good thing that happened when the government forced all people to take their benefits through a bank account.
Try the Natwest, they have a basic account that comes with a Solo debit card which can be used almost all over the internet and in most shops now and being able to talk to a real person is a definite bonus - Have you tried Natwest Direct Business Banking? They do a lot for ppl with poor credit history.
