A question about : BT Over charging
Hi,
I need some help I have just realised BT have been charging me Ј3.72 per month for a HUB phone that I do not have, this has been charged since February 2014.
I am on Infinity which cannot have the HUB phone they are referring to.
I spoke with their call centre and they state they will only refund for one month but will not backdate to February 2014 even though I have insisted I do not and have not had this product.
They state I should have notified them sooner but without logging into the online account I did not know and only recently noticed through the increased direct debit.
I there anything I can do to reclaim the amount back, I know it only works out to Ј45 but it is the principle of them charging me without advising me and for a service I do not even have.
Thanks
Dildaxa

I think you've answered your own question, since you've not checked your account in a whole year. It's your responsibility to check your bills, whether online or paper.
And, since the DD was more than you contracted to, couldn't you have picked it up from your bank statements?
You could make a formal complaint and request for a refund in writing, but it's not guaranteed to get a result. Forget phoning the call centre, because they won't have the authority to refund you.
