A question about : Best way to sell my Canadian dollars in UK?

Hi,

I have brought back nearly $3000 in Canadian dollars back to the UK and woundered if anyone has found the best way (best rate) to convert it back to Sterling? I have been to my bank but they can't offer me a good rate when I look at the CAD to GBP rate and the post office is even worse!

Thanks in advance

  • Actually, I'm looking for the exact same thing. I did find this link though, which might be of help to you.
    travelmoney DOT moneysavingexpert DOT com/buy-back
Edit: annoyingly, as a new user I'm not permitted to post links.
  • I too have found that website, but unfortunately all the places that give the better rates are up in London, and by the time i've travelled up there and back it wouldn't be worth it in travel costs
I'll let you know if I find another method, no one else seems to have a clue.

  • Avoid the Post Office, M&S, high street banks etc and use a currency specialist such as Thomas Exchange etc to get the very best rate. You can also check best rates on Martin Lewis's Travelmoneymax site
  • I need to do the same with usa dollars. I recived $1.50 per Ј at M &S and have about $250 left.
