Another Favour to ask

A question about : Another Favour to ask

Hi Folks

You may have noticed (i hope) the site has just got speedier. The reason is all threads which haven't been posted in within the last 160 days have been deleted. This has vastly speeded up the site and made the searches work again.

It has left us with two problems

1. The 'sticky' notes have been removed. If you spot something that should be sticky again - would you mind messaging the Board Guide (and if there isn't one Andrea) to suggest it should be re-stickied

2. Some of the questions links from articles may have disappeared. If any of you have spare time and you fancy checking through some articles and clicking the question links to see if that works - it'd be really apprecaited.

If you do this and could reply here noting which articles (better if done by section e.g. credit cards) you have checked - that'd be a major help

  I'm not overly familiar with which post's were sticky so I may have missed one or two url's.
• A lot of the information on the NI board has gone. This included ALL my sticky's at the top of the board. Car insurance, instructions etc.

• I think that deleting anything over a certain age was probably a mistake. !Almost the same number of posts could probably have been deleted just by removing all ARMs posts over 2 weeks old and all discussion posts over a month old, with zero impact on the "moneysaving" boards. No-one ever reads old posts in the arms anyway.
  In fact only the same 10 people ever read the arms posts given the current "issues" with that board.
  10 out of 10 for effort. 2 out of 10 for attainment. You just can't get the staff...
