A question about : Anone elses PS4 become a Netflix machine?

I got a PS4 on launch day, i am disappointed with the games so far, few and far between. My machine i now use for netflix.... title=Cool and rarely play games on it.

I am looking forward to Elder Scrolls 6 and i think thats about it, when i have played that game to death i think i will sell the PS4.

Best answers:

  • Have you played through Resogun? That seems to be the game on PS4.
I was looking forward to seeing if Bloodborne would be any good, but impressions from the beta are sadly not favourable.
  • If you like the elder scrolls games, then dragon age on the PS4 is well worth a punt!
  • That's what happens when you buy a console too soon! It's best to wait, the PS3 still has looooads of games worth playing. And I use my ps3 for Netflix a lot too!
  • Probably more to do with the exclusives that have been released on the Sony rather than buying too soon. My xbox one is awesome and I don't regret it at all (other than a couple of old favourites no longer being available - come on Rockstar - Red Dead Redemption sequel please!)
  • I played resogun its not my kind of stuff, also played dragon age its good but can't compare to Oblivion and Skyrim.
Yep, i honestly wish i had waited, they dropped in price and i wouyld have had a better decision not to get one until ES6 came out.
  • If you're going to sell, do it now, TODAY! Quickly! Before all those unwanted Christmas presents go on eBay and drop down the second-hand price.
I'm surprised you'd buy a console for an Elder Scrolls game. What about the load times? The graphics? The mods? Although if you only buy one game a year, I can see how a console could be cheaper.
Did you try Destiny? (Or is that a ridiculous question? ) The beta sat very well with me, but I wasn't going to pay annually to keep playing it "online". I'll get the PC version in March, though.

  • No games? You mean there are no games that YOU like at the moment.
And no, my machine has never used Netflix. Netflix is tosh anyway.
  • All mine does is play Netflix now.
I got Dragon age but found it very boring pretty quick.
Destiny was far to repetitive, ok for a week then boring, I didn't bother with cod AW as last few cod have been crap and bf4 admitted me by losing my saves every few times I played it.
    Wish I hadn't bothered with ps4 tbh
  • I have played Dstiny it reminded me way too much of Halo, it was not great, it could have been amazing but its not really.
For ME PERSONALLY there is honestly nothing else i want, AC i liked the first one only, the others were not as good, i can't stand footy games or sport games, there is nothing coming out in the future either except ES6.
I think i will hang on to the console for that game, if i sell it now and ES6 arrives i will only get posessed to buy another console just to play it, so after i have squeezed every last drop from ES6 i will definate sell up, and stop playing consoles or buying them on day 1, until a game i actually like is released.
  • Is PS4 backwards compatible?
    HBS x
  • Don't have a PS4 but my PS3 is only really used as a Netflix / Blu Ray player.
When I bought it I knew that I would hardly use it for games as I am more of a PC gamer but I wanted a blu ray player and at the time I purchased it the price of a stand alone blu ray player was not much less than the cost of the PS3.
I have been thinking of buying some 'popular' pre-owned games from Cex though and giving them a bash, maybe I will become hooked
