A question about : All you switching tarts ....(YB ...u know who you are!!)
Can anyone tell me how important it is that details on donor accounts EXACTLY match those of new accounts ....
I am just about to do a Halifax switch and notice in the Ts and Cs that both sets of details must match,
Not sure if this just means that they must just be in the same name or that they must EXACTLY match - I'm sure I've read on here that some switches may have failed for this reason......
Anyone done the Halifax in this situation?
(My accounts are obviously both in my name but one is initals plus surname, the other is christianname plus surname.)
BTW I did try to phone Halifax to ask them, kept on hold for 35 mins then their systems cut me off!!!
Best answers:
- I don't think they're as keen on name format for switches as they are for cardholder not present transactions when you're asked for your "name as it appears on the card".
- This doesn't meant that they don't know your name. I don't think that you can apply with just an initial instead of the first name, although I have never tried.
- Thanks all.....
Grumbler ..... i wouldnt either, i was coming at it more the other way around ..... they are asking for debit card details on the switching forms and my debit cards are the ones where they are initials only - I was wondering what had to match.
