3 creditors not proven the debts

A question about : 3 creditors not proven the debts

Hi,

I've been in my IVA for about 1 year and a half now with payplan.

I just received a random email out of the blue at 16.58 right before they close that 3 of my creditors are yet to prove the debts???

No explanation to what it is or whats going to happen, the IVA department closed at 17.00PM so i've had no chance to phone them and kind of worried now!

As far as I was concerned my IVA has been approved and up and running for some time now with no problems so I assumed everything is fine, don't understand why its taken nearly 2 years for them to tell me this information.

Can anybody please explain?

• Try to stop worrying if you can.
  Those 3 creditors are still bound by the IVA, but they have not proved to your I.P. what is owed, therefore the I.P. cannot send them any money from your contributions. Sounds as if payment is ready to go out, you will probably now have covered the nominees fees, and your I.P. is bound to treat creditors fairly. He or she also has the power, I believe, to strike the debt out of your IVA, if that is the best way to put it, so that they don't get paid at all. In short, if they can't be bothered to prove the debt and then share in the payout then tough, they won't get anything.
