Supplier wants to change delivery charge

A question about : Supplier wants to change delivery charge

I order some kitchen components (one end panel and a length of cornice) and the website qouted delivery at Ј10 plus VAT.

I have just received an email saying delivery will be Ј75+vat.

Having paid by card on website, can they make this change?

As it will match the kitchen I have I really don't have anywhere else to go - so do I have to swallow the change - fight it and risk getting nothing or fight it and end up having to pay it just to get the items.

A question about : Cheap tablet from amazon, its rubbish

bought a cheap 10 tablet from amazon (Ј85) as a present and 2 weeks on its been opened, and is poor to say the least. Watered down colours on the screen, speakers so weak you can hardly hear it even in a silent house, its, to be honest, awful. What are my rights please? I never complain about anything so not sure if i have any rights, and if I do, how i go about complaining as it isnt actually broken title=Frown

Last week I bought shoes from a well known shoes store. I asked the Sales Assistant to bring out the other foot and then I compared the two and found out one was slightly damaged on the top but was very small. They never had another pair in stock, so the Sales Assistant offered me some discount and mentioned the shoes would be non-refundable and I accepted and bought the shoes.

UPDATE 29/03/13:

Since posting this I received a phone call on the 22nd Feb 13 (2 years after I sent an e-mail of complaint).

The call was from Wren Kitchens who wanted to come and look at my kitchen.

They came, they saw and they have now rectified all faults and installed new additions and I now have a beautiful kitchen to be proud of.

Thank you WREN I am delighted with the result.

Sorry if I'm out of order posting this

I ordered some furniture from a well known company online on Boxing Day - was originally told a date from delivery when I rang 2 weeks later to query, took the day off work to receive the items rang said company on morning of delivery to be told it wasn't due until 2 days later, arranged another day off work to be told furniture out of stock

I bought a subscription last year and naturally the company decides it best to renew automatically 12 months later to save me the hassle.
Due to several reasons that I won't go into I am not happy with that and have written them a letter asking for a refund and end of subscription. As you would expect, the email hasn't been answered and I am calling them tomorrow about the situation.
