A question about : advice...poss missold a tablet

Hi...i went to my local carphone warehouse who are normally pretty good, i wanted a tablet. I wanted a Samsung but after going through the options i was told how wonderful the new Huawei mediapad was and at a great price. There were no demo models available so we looked at a youtube clip. Seemed ok to me...was told it was perfect for what i needed it for. I went home and looked at the reviews and clips and, yes, seemed ok. Went back and ordered it and went through contract with EE etc.

A question about : Help with faulty item returned

Hi all,
hopefully I am in the right forum.......Purchased an 'e' collar back in the summer. Stopped working last month, still under guarantee, contacted the company and after a few e-mails (going nowhere), returned the item recorded delivery with a covering letter asking them to check it and repair/replace it.
The first e-mail was sent 8/1/15. I was advised to check the batteries. (I had already done so, but duly did it again). Sent another e-mail the following day, heard nothing.
21/1/15, returned item.

A question about : Who is responsible for this gas pipe damage?

Last summer we hired a local tradesman to erect a trellis panel in our front garden. He is fully registered as self employed, has sign written vans and lives around the corner from us. We chose him because he had previously done our driveway for us and we were pleased with his work.

When he was hammering a metal stake into the ground for the trellis, he accidentally hit a gas pipe and the gas board were called out to repair it.

A question about : New Conservatory. Terrible Service.

I'm looking for some advice about where I stand legally and what other people would expect. I will try and keep it brief.

Last August I paid a 25% deposit to a company to install a new conservatory. The dwarf walls were already in place and I took down the old wooden conservatory.

A question about : Ebay gave me returns label, item has gone missing and they say its my fault

Well the tracking number shows as invalid and I have receipt to prove it was accepted and weight and date etc, Ebay just say since I sent item its up to me to get it back to seller even though they were the ones who gave me the returns label/tracking.

Is this right? I know if I paid for it myself this would be the case but since they organised a label are they not liable?

A question about : Return Shipping Costs

Hi,

I ordered an item online from Germany, cancelled it 18 hours later and they then shipped it 2 days after this even though they had already acknowledged the cancellation request.

I was advised to refuse the delivery and they would refund me minus delivery once they had the goods back. Not great but fair enough.

The courier dumped the item behind the garage and left a card even though someone was at home so I was not able to refuse delivery.

A question about : Wedding photographers taking far too long, are they able to provide refund?

Our wedding photographers have been less than professional. The wedding was in August, and we were promised the photographs and video by the start of September.

After countless emails we received the photos in December, and still have not received the video! To make it worse they were late for the photographs on the morning of the wedding!

The price is not far off the Ј1000 mark, and obviously we would like some of this back.
