After some bad recent customer service recieved from British Gas I chose to move to NPower, one of the reasons was to get their smart heating system, NEST for free.

I applied online and all was going well for the switch until Npower told me the following (Via Social Media):-

A question about : Telecom+ late bills. not any more!

It appears that TP+ have taken heed of our complaints about late billing. I received my bill this morning and it was dated the 13th June and not the 17th of the month as previously. So why all that fuss? I suggested changing the billing date ages ago but they said it was impossible. Nothing's impossible now , it seems!

A question about : Npower monthly online price fix tariff start date

My current Npower online price fix (Feb 15) tariff is about to expire, and after comparing, I want to switch to a new 15 month long fixed tariff with Npower.

The current 15 month tariff takes me to May 16. Does anyone know when the June 16 tariff will be introduced? I'm wondering whether to wait until 28th Feb / 1st March when my current fix expires, or if it will be after this date?

A question about : Npower best excuse yet ?

I am on duel fuel with Npower & they have taken the incorrect direct debit amount which is currently Ј78. They only took Ј40 on the 16/02/15. My due date is 14th of month. There excuse 14th fell on a Saturday & we can't take the electricity portion of monthly payment Ј38 on a Saturday. Given that there have been 6 sat 14th's since jan 2012 & they have not split the monthly payment on those dates & the Gas portion of direct debit Ј40 was taken on the 16th can this really be true ?

A question about : Experience with Energy Assistance Scheme Scotland?

Does anyone have experience with the above? I've been told we probably qualify (we have a child with a disability) and I am hoping we do as we currently do not have a working central heating system. Would love to hear if anyone else has experience/advice! Thanks in advance!
