A question about : Npower's May 2016 fix beware the small print

I am on Online Oct 2015 fixed rate deal with Npower with no penalty paying Ј78 pm I logged into my account & input actual annual consumption from Jan 2015- Jan2015. The online May 2016 quoted Ј66.80pm. I input meter readings intending to switch to the new fixed rate. Just as I was about to proceed I noticed a smaller line of text saying that my payment would remain at Ј78 until my next 6 month review in july 2015.ie in6months time. This certainly did not happen when I chose my Oct 2015 fix.

A question about : Switch now or wait?

Currently on a fixed price tariff till end march 2015. I can switch any time (no exit fees)

Should I switch my gas and electricity supplier now (can save potentially Ј200) or should I wait a couple of weeks to see if prices fall further?

A question about : Stuck with Scottish Power

At the beginning of August, my husband and I purchased a flat with electricity supply only (no gas). The flat used to have storage heaters and an immersion boiler which we have now fully replaced with an electric combi boiler and connected hot water radiators. As a result of this change, we are no longer in need of the dual-metered ‘Comfort Plus Control’ system which is in place.

A question about : Npower Refund

Hi there.

I Haven't been with npower for over a year but surprisingly last week I got a letter saying I am owed a refund of about Ј145.00. They explain they don't have my bank details anymore so they will be sending a cheque though in the next few days.

Thinking this was a bit odd I thought I'd phone them and yes I do have a rebate due. Only thing I find confusing is why it has taken so long?

A question about : Sainsbury's switch DD is 8x predicted amount

Has anyone been sent the Direct Debit request from Sainsbury's big switch and had a much larger amount than they should have?

My personal projection from Sainsbury's sent on 03/02 had
Ј350 p.a for electricity
Ј105 p.a for gas
(2 bed new build flat, so low user)

This amount divided by 12 should equal a DD of Ј37

I've received a DD request on 24/02 stating that they worked out my usage and divided by 12 and came up with the following per month:

A question about : British Gas increasing my direct debit

I have just had my latest Electric and Gas bill as I am on Dual Fuel. My question is, they want to increase my monthly payment amount from Ј88 to Ј117 and say it will start from 1st April 2015, should I just roll over and let this happen? Martin did say something about utility companies chopping and changing the direct debit amounts, but I can't remember what it was and also can't find it on this site.

A question about : power innovator

I've just come across this website trying to sell a DIY guide on how to make a Tesla patented coil that is meant to boost the energy supplied to appliances and thus reduce energy consumption. It says it can increase the energy source's power output 5 fold.

It's called a power innovator program.
Has anyone one heard of this or tried it out?

My instinct says it could be a scam but my money saving brain wonders if it could actually work!
