A question about : Protection on public wifi ?

Is there any additional step to take to be protected on a public wifi i.e. coffee shop? Are Avast and Malwarebytes enough?

A question about : sky broadband new Ј192 deal m&s gift

Trying to get this deal but the mse link takes you to sky tv,broadband and calls page with Ј75 off , mse states it should take you to skys broadband and calls page with Ј100 m&s gift card details.

Anyone else having probs with this?

Update got it sorted, would only go to skys Ј75offer using android tablet, signed up ok using my windows laptop

A question about : Sky charging me for not using Sky Talk

I used to be an O2 broadband customer, which is now Sky.

Sky are now charging me a monthly Ј5 Supplement for not having Sky Talk because I still use my BT line. I don't want to change telephone providers as I'm only calling 0844 numbers which are 1p with BT and 4p with Sky.

Can they really punish me for not using their service? Their explanation is that they charge me because broadband needs to go through the telephone line.

A question about : If I switch broadband, will there be a break in access?

We're very interested in switching to the BT deal advertised in the weekly newsletter. It would save us a packet. What is stopping us is the fear that there might be a period when we have no internet during the switchover. For all sorts of reasons, that would be a disaster for us.

Is this likely to happen? What can we do to minimise the chances of it? Any advice would be much appreciated.

A question about : BT infinity dropouts

I upgraded to BT Infinity unlimited just over a week ago. Very happy with increase speeds but I am getting dropouts every few minutes which is infuriating. The hub stays blue as if connected, but I keep losing the connection for a short while, usually less than a minute. It also causes a loss of connection in my sky wi fi connector so I have to restart it to reconnect to the hub to access on demand. Anybody had this problem or have advice on how to fix it?

A question about : Talk Talk or not

I have had my internet and landline with Virgin Media for some years now with no problems, but have just had a letter from them to say my package has been taken over by Talk Talk (or will be next month - 2 March). They have promised me the same as Virgin which should be Ј40.20 per month for unlimited broadband and unlimited anytime calls to UK landlines. Whilst this seems alright, I have heard bad reviews about Talk Talk and wonder if anyone has any comments, good or bad. I have my TV with Freeview.

Just had a scam call from somebody claiming to work for Talk Talk.

She had a very strong Indian accent and claimed her name was Rachel Smith. She told me that she was based in the UK, so I pushed to find out where and she told me that she was in Florida
