A question about : Booking flights using VISA Barclaycard

I'm looking to book flights for next week wednesday to travel through BMI to middle east. And was wondering that if I use my VISA card to book the flight will I be covered if the flights are cancelled?

Or do the airline automatically reimburse you if you don't fly out.

I just want to find out what others here think or have experienced.

A question about : Ryanair safety not approved

Ryanair have not had their safety case approved by the Irish Aviation Authority so they are not allowed to fly.

They submitted their case on Monday and were told it needed to be ammended.

They have been in meetings this afternoon but it has not yet been approved.

Airspace remains open and it is up to them to have the safety case approved.

Anything else they say is garbage. Airspace is not closed.

A question about : Air Malta Volcano Compensation

Is anyone else still waiting for their compensation from Air Malta? Their inital reaction (during the shutdown) was appalling - they told us that we would not receive any compensation. They then relented and confirmed that they would pay on receipt of receipts. We sent our receipts and they confirmed that they received them. However they have not made any payment to us and now ignore emails. Speaking to customer services is useless too.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I have just tonight booked a holiday to gran canaria, i have booked the flights and hotel separately.

hopefully im worrying about nothing as i dont leave for 7 weeks but in the event of this volcano cancelling my flights, i know i could get a refund for the flights from the airline but how would i stand with the accommodation if i couldn't go. Would it be covered by travel insurance or would i lose my money?

A question about : How does one bring a complaint to the EC?

I want to lodge a complaint with the EC about Cyprus Airways non observance of EG law, and I suspect that there are quite a numnber of other ppeople what would complain about other airlines such as Air Malta, etc. I seek similar condemnation as that the EC issued about KLM>

Does anyone out there know the proceedure? I would be very glad to know.
