A question about : PPI tax

When I was working I paid income tax on my salary I also paid 11% of my income into an occupational pension. When I finished work I received my occupational pension each month. This again was taxed. To help my daughter to buy a car subject to VAT I took a loan in my name with PPI attached. I paid insurance tax on these premiums. I claimed my PPI back via a management company. I received a lump sum which was taxed. I had to pay the management company a share which was subject to VAT.

A question about : Can I reclaim Littlewoods Extra Care?

I cancelled this a few months ago because I just wasn't getting any benefits from it and it was quite expensive. When I first got the catalogue in Jan 2002 I had extra care 500 but then in April 2005 it changed to extra care advantage, I don't know if this is the same thing though?

I have no idea how they even work it out, on a balance of Ј237.19 in Sept 2005 they charged me Ј4.61 but then on a balance of Ј65.41 in July 2007 they charged me Ј9.58 :confused:

A question about : packaged bank account

I am considering a claim for the fees back on my packaged bank account. Martins template letter makes reference to enclosing bank statements. Is this necessary and if so do I need to enclose a copy of every statement since I took out the account?

• No is not needed. just send the letter to get the ball rolling, and your reasons why you thing you was mis-sold.

A question about : Packaged Account Refund when someone has passed away

Hello

I am hoping someone can advise me. My late husband contacted Barclays regarding the mis-sale of a packaged current account. The complaint took Barclays 6 months to provide him with a response. Unfortunately in that time he sadly passed away.

Barclays have agreed to refund Ј1,905.06 and have sent a cheque for this amount in his name. I can't cash the cheque because his account has been closed down. Barclays won't speak with me to due Data Protection.

A question about : Credit Report with Partial Account Numbers

Hi

I have only just got round to looking at PPI (I assumed I'd not had any claim before but may be wrong). As I don't have all my paperwork now I ordered an Equifax credit report to get all the details and account numbers, but I have only got partial account numbers. Do I need the full account number to contact the lenders? If yes, will either Experian or Call Credit provide this? I don't want to throw good money away after bad. Many thanks for any advice.

A question about : SAR to Edinburgh re Lombard loans

Hi All

I have sent an SAR to RBS on behalf of my dad who had a few loans with Lombard. He hasn't any sort codes, account numbers etc.

I sent a SAR request to Edinburgh with his address, previous addresses, date of birth. they also cashed the cheque.

They replied saying that they is lack of information on his part, saying they need addresses etc.

Forgive me but I thought they could find your details without account numbers etc? Thats why I sent the SAR for him.

Any thoughts

Hi, i just thought i would share that after an account i opened in 1999 and then was sold to a DCA in 2002 and who i have been paying since 2003 Ј10.00 per month i filed a claim with the issuer last month via letter for Ј153.00 back in PPI charges, they have today sent me a letter saying they are refunding me Ј260.00 inc interest BUT crediting to my account so hummmm not sure how that will work out,
