lazy loss assessors

A question about : lazy loss assessors

Hello

has anybody else had problems with loss assessors seeming not to be doing a great deal to help settle a claim.
my claim was taken on a no win no fee basis, however if I terminate the contract I will be left with the loss assessors cost. Is there anyway of terminating the agreement? title=Mad

Protect Your Bubble

A question about : Protect Your Bubble

Just a heads up and word of caution to those who are in search of gadget cover. There have been many adverts on the tube and on TV by protectyourbubble.com guaranteeing a 48hr replacement of your gadget.
If anyone is thinking about taking out gadget insurance please let my experience as well as googling their company name warn you not to. They are the worst company that I have come in contact with.

Life Insurance

A question about : Life Insurance

Hello,

I think I know the answer to this but we had been paying alife insurance policy for 11 years and then cancelled it. 6 weeks later we weregiven a cancer diagnosis which apparently had been around undiagnosed for 12months whilst we had the policy. Is it worth contacting the insurance companywith regard to critical illness cover or as I suspect have we made an error incancelling. Thanks in advance.

What to do? Life insurence? Critical illness?

A question about : What to do? Life insurence? Critical illness?

I'm in my twenties with one child and another on the way.
I'm currently on Mat leave and am not being paid by work due to not being there long enough.

My partner is 40 is self employed.

We live in a Housing association property.

Neither of us have any kind of insurence if either of us was to die or be so injured/poorly we couldn't work.

What kind of policy would we need to take out and how do we do it?

Many thanks

Life cover

A question about : Life cover

Hi, my partner and I have just bought a property together and we need to get a joint life cover insurance.

I currently have life cover for myself which is for a smaller amount which covered the mortgage on my previous mortgage. This was an a decreasing basis.

I'm not sure whether it is best to use cover the mortgage amount or whether to cover a bit more than this and whether level or decreasing is best.

Just wondered if anyone could give me any pointers?

Thanks

Building insurance trouble not covered.

A question about : Building insurance trouble not covered.

I wonder if anyone could tell me where they think I stand with this claim, and how to proceed. (quite long winder sorry)

around 4 years ago our house had some flood damage, no water came into the house as such but we got a letter from the building next door saying damp was coming from us and when we called the insurance they said everything had to go, floors, plaster, kitchen the works.

Multiple critical illness policies, can I claim on all?

A question about : Multiple critical illness policies, can I claim on all?

I have three critical illness policies, all with different companies and I was told at the time I took them out that I was not limited to just one. I've just been diagnosed with a critical illness and want to know if I can indeed claim on all three? I'm obviously worried to go down that route if it is going to cause me any problems or cause me to have my claims refused. Can anyone please advise? Thanks.

Insurance- No pay out with lodger???

A question about : Insurance- No pay out with lodger???

Hi

A good friend of mine recently lost his hearing aid which he recently acquired. Before he spent 2k on said item he phoned his insurance company to check that it was covered under accidental loss or damage on his home insurance. It was. He lost it! He has now been told that as he has a tenant it has negated his policy against accidental loss and damage. Can this be right? Is there anything he can do?
thanks
