A question about : Defrosted freezer?

Returned from holiday to find large chest freezer defrosted.

I estimate spoiled food to be in the region of Ј450.00.

I have two freezers in the garage, one was fine. The one which has defrosted was plugged into a socket with a trip switch, and when I unplugged it, then switched it on again it's working fine. After talking to neighbours discovered there had been a power failure three days before we came home.

A question about : Buildings and Contents Insurance for Vacant Houses

It's simple - I am trying to find a provider of new for old full cover insurance for my home & contents while I live overseas. Please let me know if you know of anyone who will do it for full years at a time. it's getting more urgent by the day!

read somewhere on this site about using part time traders insurance if you have multiple cars, i also seem to change them regurlarly. any info on this please. will i have any problems with the dvla?

A question about : How long to get car insurance excess back?

In early December my car was bumped in a car park and the driver admitted liability and supplied insurance details. All being processed through my insurance (Esure) as a non fault claim.

Car was repaired in early January and we paid the excess to the garage.

Trouble is i'm still waiting for the excess. I've phoned Esure on several occasions only to be told each time that they are waiting on the other party/have submitted another report to the other party/have made a note on the file, etc etc

Don't get insurance from this company, charged me Ј20 for a missed payment when it was my banks fault, and now to cancel the policy they won't Ј25! None of which was explained to me when I took out the policy 😡😡😡😡 even though I asked both questions about possible charges.
