A question about : Car Insurance

Hey Everyone

I have over 5 years no claims which is unusued since June 2013 when I moved to London and sold my car

Anyway, come this June it will be 2 full years since I had car insurance, and thus lots of places will no longer accept the no claims after June. I do plan on having a car again within the next 2 years...

My ex wife and I had joint life insurance (divorced last year) with Royal London. Taken out when I was 43 (now 50).

just had a quote for body repairs to my car Ј1000. I am fully comp and have protected no claims bonus.
but I have got to pay Ј300 excess so I cant decide which way to go.
claim on the insurance or pay the Ј1000.
it depends on what the percentage they put on the insurance when you had a claim any clues.

We took out warranty insurance when the dealer warranty expired. Several months later, the car broke down. The insurance company sent out an assessor who confirmed there had been a failure of the flywheel, however they disagreed with the garage who recommended the clutch pressure plate, slave cylinder and release bearing be replaced at a further cost of Ј1,100.

Got back to my car last night drove home when i got up this morning there was a massive dent in passenger door took it to local garage they sid it needs a new door i have comprehensive ins with protected noclaims i claim on ins will i lose my ncb
