A question about : HALIFAX JUST SHAVED OFF Ј100 CONTENTS INS

I rang to cancel my existing contents and building insurance policy with Halifax. They have changed their insurance product and now have their own which worked out Ј100 cheaper!!!

I was annoyed to think that I would not have been offered this as an existing customer had I not rung to cancel. Apparently they are'nt allowed to poach custom from the previous company used.

A question about : Pet Insurance

Hi all,
would appreciate some help. Basically our pet insurance needs renewing, my cat has had dental problems in the past which wasnt covered on the insurance so we had to pay like Ј200. We were quoted that she will probably need more dental work costing Ј400-Ј600. Cant afford that. Is there any insurance that will cover dental when she has it as a previous existing condition.

A question about : do we need to report to the insurer?

My wife scratched a car when she was reversing in a tesco car park this moring. She waited for half an hour and the owener didn't come back. So she left her mobile number on the windscreen and drove home. Do we need to inform the insurer now or should we wait for the other party to get back to us before we decide waht to do next?

• Your supposed to inform them, whether you actually do is upto you.
  Paying for the repairs yourself maybe the way to go.

A question about : Need a little help with home insurance

Ok for the past 2 years i have had my first flour flat insured through the halifax, who it the time provided my mortgage.

I want to be able to shop around for may buildings insurance, but i do not have the rebuild cost of the flat (tha halifax does not require it for there insurance policy)

Does anyone know of any insurance companies that do not require the rebuild cost, like the halifax.

The halifax gave me a 10% discount last year, then put my policy up 15%.

A question about : Quality car Insurance at Low cost

This may be of help to any one out there wanting to insure their car.
I have a classic car insurance policy through a broker which I could not believe was so cheap but it was true.
My wifes car insurance (we have 2 cars) was due for renewal and decided to give same broker a chance along with other companies. Existing insurer wanted Ј485, others wanted from Ј385 to Ј585.

A question about : Does Insure Supermarket Work?

I have tried twice to get a list of best quotes for contents insurance.

The page: "current status of report" page says to wait.......been over an hour now!!

Tried this morning samething but did get an e-mail from Zurich, but nothing else!!

Any ideas??
