A question about : Borrowing money at 18 y/o

Hi Guys,

I'm 18 years old and I need to move out of my parents house.
I am an apprentice and only earn Ј560 a month so I don't have enough money to pay a deposit on a place. I only need to borrow about Ј500.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have 4 credit card accounts open, I have the dual lloyds account which I have had open for 10 months, I rarely use them and they cost Ј24 a year.

Would closing credit account effect my credit background checks?

A question about : Wife's Credit Card BT

My wife and I have always conducted our financial affairs individually...... Stupid I know

A couple of months ago she confessed that she had over Ј10k on a well known retailers credit card.

Sat down went though all her bits and she had nearly Ј11k and they had just offered to raise her credit limit to Ј13.5k....wich is insane as she is a senior citizen on a state pension.

A question about : 90% prospects of acceptance but no card?!

I've just applied for a 0% spending card having used the eligibility checker. I was told I had a 90% chance of being accepted (as good as it gets) but my application was refused!! What's that all about? I'm so disappointed. I've now got an unsuccessful application on my credit file.

A question about : Vanquis Cash Advance

Hello, on Friday I was accepted over the phone for a Vanquis Card. They asked me if I wanted a cash advance, I said yes and took Ј100. They said it would be in my account by Tuesday. I received a text from them yesterday saying The Ј100 cash advance authorised has now been cancelled. Why have they done that? I've tried to get through but can't. Will I still get the card? Thanks

A question about : Merge balances & limits onto Low Rate card MBNA?

Hi all,

Long story as short as possible. I have 4 MBNA cards.

3 cards have balances of approx Ј7000 total, my 4th card the Low Rate at 6.5% has no balance. My available credit spread across at the minute with these cards is Ј16000.

The 3 cards carrying balances all have 0% offers, first one ends November 2015.

I need a cash flow injection and have worked out it will be cheaper to if possible clear off the debts and load them onto the Low Rate card.

A question about : Halifax Clarity APR

Hi everyone,

I applied for Halifax Clarity card and got the highest APR - 21.9%, which is supposed to be (according to MSE and also Halifax) only for riskiest customers. I monitor my credit file very carefully and know that I have a very good score. They wouldn't explain to me how this decision was made...

What should I do? Sounds like they are deceiving applicants saying that you can get 12.9% APR.

A question about : Halifax Mastercard

ive recently got myself one of these cards which i *think* is the one that gives you Ј5 for spending over Ј300 in a month (provided you pay Ј1k into the Rewards Current a/c etc etc).

ive just had my first months statement which is over the Ј300 threshold. my question is, when and where does the Ј5 credit appear on the account, and what does it look like on the online banking? does it show as a credit, in the same way that a refund would?
