Authorising a regular payment off a credit card known as a ‘Continuous Payment Authority’ is much more dangerous a bank account ‘direct debit’. !The problem is you can’t cancel it, only the company its set up with can. !

A question about : Aqua credit card, direct debit reversal

Last week, on the 4th of Feb, when I was trying to make a payment online via my aqua card, it was declined two or three times. I called Aqua to ask them what the problem was since I had a credit balance of Ј11 on the account, making the usable amount Ј3561.00. My actual credit limit is Ј3550. They said that a letter had been issued from the head office and that they could not access any of my details and that I'd have to wait for the letter.

Am new to this site, but I have just been turned down for an egg card to transfer a balance. I have an existing loan with them but have just transferred a balance to a different card.Am trying to sort out my finances at long last. I'm not sure what to do now. Is it worth me applying for another one? I checked my credit score and its good and I never miss any payments. Any advice would be appreciated.

Due to some unexpected news, I need to withdraw some cash from from credit card. I know this is TERRIBLE but it is unexpected and will be for approx 4 weeks at most before I pay it back in full.

I need to take Ј400 and my cash rate is 30.34%.

If I were to borrow the same amount from Wonga (I know, I know, bad to worse!) then the interest charge would be Ј96.00

Nationwide, Ј5000, 15.9% apr Ј6900 limit
tesco, Ј740, 17.5% apr Ј1000 limit
asda, Ј2060, 0% until may then 24.9%, Ј3200 limit
barclaycard, Ј2000, 0% until may then 29.9%, Ј2200 limit

Hi All
My partner is in a little bit of trouble with her finances, she has a number of credit cards, due to debts in the past, and also she is a mature student doing a medical bursary at a hospital!
She has a child also!
She is really struggling to pay these off now and getting into more debt each month making the minimum payments etc.

A question about : Halifax Clarity Credit Card for GBP

I am going to America for 24 days - touring around a lot and I have around Ј4000 saved for Hotel fees and spending money. I have booked hotels online but I'm required to pay on the day, at the hotel.

I'm looking at the following options and the latter I'm not experienced with.

A) go somewhere like Debenhams or Post office to exchange it all into USD.

B) Halifax Clarity Card

I have a few questions if you don't mind helping please! I've never used a credit card before.
