A question about : Credit limit to current account?

Hi,
I have a credit card with Co-op and one with Smile, does anyone know if I can transfer some credit from these to my current account?
Can I just ring them and request it?

• I don't think you can, but there's no harm in asking. You could get an Egg card and use this to shuffle your balances into your current account.

A question about : Scammed but paid using credit card

I bought something of ebay by buy it now, but once the money was taken the seller refunded the money and offered it to me outside eBay a bit cheaper. They then sent me a paypal invoice for Ј250 and I paid it by paypal charging the full amount to my Capital One credit card.

A question about : Topping up my egg card

I've just realised that once I've paid my minimum payment on my Egg card, my balance will be Ј100 or so short of my credit limit. To avert this appalling scenario I was planning on SBTing the Ј100 back to my current account. Is there any reason, other than the fact that I'm blatantly taking the !!!!, that I shouldn't do this?

Do payments from all Credit Cards to Paypal count as purchases or cash advances, does anybody know?

• Paypal payments have always been charged as purchases for me. That's with an HSBC Visa.

A question about : New to AMEX, few questions!

Hello all,

I'm a newbie to this forum and would like some advice on an AMEX gold charge card I took out today, how do these work, and do I have a set credit limit?

Cards I have at the moment:
RBS 28 Months 0% BT = Ј3050/Ј3500
Virgin CC = Ј550/Ј1500
AMEX Platinum 5% cashback = Ј0/Ј3000
AMEX Gold Chargecard

Closed Credit cards:
Barclaycard Platinum (Ј10,000 Limit)

About me:

I'm 21, earning Ј25,000 P/A and part time student at university.
