A question about : I am thinking of getting a new credit card.....

the idea is, if i get a Tesco one, i can pile a months shopping on it, and pay it off in full at the end of the month. I will get extra points for doing so, and i might get a bit of extra interest on my retained cash in the bank.

The options i can have are :

Tesco MasterCard Classic
Tesco Visa Classic

A question about : Quickest balance transfer

Does anybody know how long it should take for a balance transfer to happen? Or maybe what the quickest method of doing it is, ie credit card cheques, phoning the card company etc?
I have a two week slot that i want to juggle a loan and a credit card, before the monthly payments are due onto my new barclaycard.

When i do a balance transfer - do i have to transfer the whole balance, or can i leave a bit behind (as credit limit of new card wont quite reach)?

A question about : BA American Express Card

Does anyone have any experiance of amrican express BA keep sending me pre-approved forms for there BA American Express Card buti'm alwys suspicous of pre-approved offers,but i was tempted by this for the airmiles programi i am already in.

The thing that has put me off is people i have spoken to say american express is the hardest firm to get into is this true or any advice would be great.

A question about : Halifax One

I'd really like input on this which is why I asked it as a separate query and not as an add on to my previous thread. Please someone advise if possible?

Condensed story so far:

MBNA made a transfer of Ј4000 and then Ј1900 to Halifax credit card by error - it should have gone to Halifax current account.

Not a problem say Halifax, we'll transfer it to your current account.

Does anyone know if Accucard offers extended 0% when current offer expires? Is it worth giving them a ring? :

A question about : Morgan Stanley (referal to SAV CREDIT)

Just thought i would warn people about completing an application for a Morgan Stanley card at the end it says if we reject ou we will pass your details to SAV CREDIT.

If you do not reject this option your details will end up with Halifax Card Services as SAV CREDIT is the brand name for the AQUA CARD and it is fully run and controlled by Halifax so if you dont want your details to end up with Halifax make sure you reject this option as it does not make this clear on the Morgan Stanley application form.
