A question about : Vanquis few days late payment

Hello all,

Just after some quick advise really, I have a vanquis card which I've stopped using but the last payment on January 12th was due. I went online to their payment system and it was down for days due to an SQL issue on their site, it got to the 15th and I phoned them up. Paid the card off over the phone.

A question about : TSB Creditcard Indemnity Claim

Hi guys,

I need some help desperately. In summary:

I paid Ј800.00 towards my creditcard bill on 28 Dec 2013.
The direct debit for Ј713.71 was taken from my credit card bill on 30 Dec 2013.
Ј713.71 was returned to my account on 8th January 2014.

A question about : any email address for Vanquis Bank- credit card

got locked out of online a/c, mis-spelt password, and don't want to get left on hold / into argument on phone.. need to keep record of what's going on, too, in case they back track!

A question about : Amex Points

Hi All, hope you're well

In August last year I took the forum advice and got myself an Amex Gold charge card and have been using it all year, for pretty much all my spending. To date I have accumulated around 35,000 points - not sure whether that's considered a lot or a little.

Am I right in thinking that the best thing I can do with the points is transfer them to airmiles, such as Avios? Does that allow for their value to be maximised?

A question about : Is credit card best way to pay for childcare?

For the next 6 months I am taking a wage cut, and will struggle to pay approx. Ј450 per month for childcare. However in August I will be back in full time employment and could afford repayments. I was considering a 0% card to help me out. Is this the best thing to do? Any other ideas folks?

A question about : Balance Transfer questions

Hi guys and gals

I currently have around Ј5100 on a Barclaycard and Ј300 on a Lloyds card, paying the minimum (~160) on the former and Ј100 on the latter. I was thinking of balance transferring the Barclaycard so that my payments are at least clearing some of the debt and not just covering the interest*.

I currently have a Capital One credit card, which is outside of the introductory rate.

Due to credit rating, it's probably unlikely that I'll get another one just yet, so I'm trying to use this one (responsibly I might add ) to help builid my rating up. I've not missed any payments (on anything) for well over a year now.
