Business Borrowing

A question about : Business Borrowing

Hi everyone

I run a limited business (sole director) and have been considering taking out a business loan.
I came across something called Funding Well which looks to be a new business specialising in unsecured business cash advances. There is no fixed monthly payment, rather the amount is calculated as a fixed percentage of your card sales amount and deducted from card sale takings.
I was wondering whether a) anyone had head of this company?
and b) whether this could be considered a good form of borrowing?

Need PayPal business advice

A question about : Need PayPal business advice

I have just set up my own business and want to take payment through PayPal. I have gone through the majority of set up (linking my bank account, etc) but I can't seem to figure out how PayPal will take the money for the fees they charge for each transaction that I put through them?

Can anyone give me a quick guide of what to expect/to do?

Thanks!

How hard can it be to get a website made

A question about : How hard can it be to get a website made

I have contacted lots and lots of webpage designers for prices and they have either promised to email me some examples with prices and haven't or given me a price of thousands of pounds for a basic website.

I have tried making one myself but because its ecommerce it really doesn't have all of the functions I need and its way to complicated and time consuming to be doing this when I don't know much about it.

Buying a low emission car

A question about : Buying a low emission car

Hi all

As a sole trader, I've previously only bought cars personally and just claimed back the mileage allowance. Someone mentioned recently about the lower benefit in kind tax for low emission company cars & whilst this doesn't apply to me, I'm wondering if there might be a potential tax saving.

Interested in volunteering for a Charity Board

A question about : Interested in volunteering for a Charity Board

Hi,

In my spare time I currently volunteer as a business mentor for the Princes Trust and am interested in finding out whether there are any local Charities that would be interested in my experience on a voluntary basis to their Advisory Board.

Does anyone know of any websites, sources of information to see if I can find a charity in my local area (which is West Yorkshire) ?

Regards
Robson

Banking or investment for charities

A question about : Banking or investment for charities

Just wondering if anyone's got any good ideas/recommendations of a good bank, paying reasonable rates of interest for a charity (trading as a Company Ltd by Guarantee) with Ј70K to invest. This is a committee run After School Club, so they can't invest in anything risky, but current high street banks offering next to nothing in interest.
